As a Technology Integration Specialist for Avoca School District (Chicago area), Vail Mountain School and now working for Aspen School District, I have spent my 17 year career in educational technology supporting educators in grades K-12 with innovative teaching. As a curriculum developer and teacher of numerous technology, STEAM, multimedia and design thinking courses, I also help develop confidence and leadership abilities in students, while creating pathways to future careers and interests. I have facilitated the creation of school makerspaces, innovative learning spaces, sponsored innovation festivals/conferences, and traveled both domestically and abroad with students to help them develop new outlooks and cultural perspectives. After four years of teaching Broadcast Journalism and serving as a tech integrator at Aspen High School, I went into district leadership and now serve as the Instructional Director of Learning and Innovation for the Aspen School District.
