About me
Dr. Shane Saeed is the Elementary ELA Curriculum Coordinator where she leads and supports all the Tier I elementary literacy programming in SVVSD. Prior to her role as a curriculum coordinator, Shane taught at the elementary level and was a Learning Coach in the Office of Professional Development. She received her Bachelor's in psychology as well as an elementary teaching license from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She has a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in literacy, a second Master's degree in School Leadership, and recently earned her doctorate in Executive Leadership with a focus on Educational Equity. Shane's passion is sharing instructional practices with educators near and far. She co-developed the Level 4 and Level 5 Structured Morphology program in SVVSD and has facilitated many professional developments including the Science of Learning Collaborative for the past five years. In 2021, Shane published a book called Be the Flame: Sparking Positive Classroom Communities which lays out practical ideas to build relationships with students, among students, with families, with school staff, and coaching collaborative practices.
